5 cricketers you never knew were a part of the IPL
Some of these cricketers who found international success, failed to make their presence felt in the IPL.
5. Faiz Fazal (RR)
A name that does so many rounds in the Indian domestic circuit on a regular basis, Faiz Fazal helped Vidarbha win the Ranji Trophy two times in a row. His commendable leadership helped the team scale new heights, but for some reason, despite putting up so many good performances, he has not been considered for a national call-up.
Fazal played one game in Indian colours against Zimbabwe, where he scored a half-century and remained unbeaten. Just the way not many people remember his ODI debut, his time with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL went unnoticed. He was with them for three seasons from 2009 to 2011.
He could represent the team just 12 times in this time period, scoring 183 runs at a strike-rate just above 100. His time with the side was not very memorable and he didn’t get to play an IPL game after the 2011 edition.
