Ben Stokes showed unreal tenacity during the 2019 World Cup and also in the Edgbaston Test where his century took England home against Australia. Apart from his incredible numbers, his controversial occurring has also grabbed the limelight quite a few times.

The Bristol-bar brawl back in 2017 ruled him out of the Ashes in Australia. Stokes’ disciplinary standards were questioned. Earlier this year, Stokes was fined 15 per cent of his match fees by the ICC after he used foul language against a spectator at the Wanderers Stadium.

Apart from the fine, the Three Lions’ all-rounder was also handed a demerit point. Nevertheless, despite all the unwanted hurdles on the field of play, Stokes has carved himself as one of the most versatile cricketers in the Brits’ ranks.
