Chennai Super Kings’ vice-captain and their integral player– Suresh Raina has been associated with Team India for more than a decade now. The middle-order batsman was also a part of the World Cup-winning side which lifted the coveted trophy at Wankhede in 2011. Raina also delivered some crucial performances for MS Dhoni and Co. in the tournament.

Suresh Raina was a crucial part of Team India, especially when MS Dhoni was at the helm. However, injuries have served as a roadblock in his career and he has not been a part of Team India since 2018. The only way through which Raina can pave his way back to the side is by delivering an impressive performance in IPL 2020. However, considering the feasibility of the tournament, it looks like Raina has to wait for a while.

Hence, the Uttar Pradesh batsman’s journey in limited-overs with Team India looks almost over. In a career spanning 226 ODIs, Raina amassed 5615 runs at an average of 31.31 including 5 tons and 36 half-centuries. Raina is still anticipated to deliver for CSK but his comeback to the national side might be tough.
