The 16-year old classy right-handed batter has been the most consistent performer from the Indian squad in the tournament. In the four games so far, he has collected 272 runs at an average of 68.00 while opening the innings for India.

He has scored a fifty and a hundred in those 272 runs. His score of 144 off 120 balls against Uganda was highly praised by the cricket experts. He has earned a name for himself. His 79 against Ireland was also a crucial one for the team. He is India’s highest run-scorer in the tournament so far.

Some of the IPL teams will think of getting him in their dug-out as he can serve them for a long time. He will be in demand during the mega auction by most of the franchises. The team will want a lot from him in the semi-final clash against Australia.
