The team from the southern part of India is the most consistent team in the league’s history, as they have made it to the playoffs in every season. The MS Dhoni-led side has won 3 titles in 10 seasons, and fondly they are known as the Yellow Brigade. Chennai Super Kings is the only franchise where ordinary stars have transformed into superstars because of the team environment. The side is known for its final over heroics, like the Manchester City championship win in 2011-12 where they won the title on the final day of the league.

The team from Manchester has won 3 EPL titles and in the last decade, they have finished in the top 4 for a record 8 times. The team is also known as Sky Blues among the fans, and they are one of the sides which consists of calm-headed personalities. The city is one of the teams which was relegated in 1996 after spending seven years in the top-tier, and it is very similar to Chennai’s ban from IPL for 2 years. Manchester United are the arch-rivals of the team and their record is very poor against them like, Chennai’s hoodoo is against Mumbai in IPL.
