Before the elections in 2014, Narendra Modi started his preparations almost 13 months in advance and went all around the country to put forward his agenda to the people. His inspirational words took the nation by a storm and persuaded people into giving him a chance. He didn’t have to work as hard this time around but surely had his plans in place. There wasn’t any scope of relaxation at any stage. He and his party workers strived hard to reach the people and impress them yet again.

Under Modi, the BJP has always been two steps ahead as mentioned in the previous point and it has paid rich dividends. Similarly, the Indian team should look to imbibe this quality and settle at nothing less than getting their hands on the trophy. No opposition in a tournament like this should be taken lightly and every game should be played as if it is a knockout. Also, if the team is in a good position during the game, the players should still look to push hard and register a big win as the Net Run Rate will play a critical role in a format such as this.
