We know Virat Kohli as a bold and aggressive player. However, there is another side to him as well and that was evident during the World T20 in 2012 in Sri Lanka.

India were the inaugural winners of the World T20 that took place in 2007. However, they failed big time in the next two editions (2009 and 2010). In 2012, they started well by winning both group stage games. However, they lost to Australia heavily in the first Super Eight encounter.

But the ‘Men in Blue’ bounced back strongly as they beat Pakistan in the next game. However, they needed to win by 31 runs to qualify for the semi-final. However, they could beat South Africa by just one run and hence, bowed out of the tournament.

Virat Kohli had a wonderful time with the bat. He scored 185 runs at an average of 46.25 which included a couple of half-centuries. However, his efforts went in vain. Hence, he was seen sobbing a little while fielding when India failed to qualify for the semi-final.
