Having played 98 matches in the T20I format along with 91 dismissals to his credit, MS Dhoni was just away from touching 100 in both the categories. If he would have stayed a bit longer, he would have definitely seen his 100th T20I match and 100 dismissals in the same format.

However, having captained the T20I format from 2007-2016, the team touched new highs. In fact, he has the record of winning most T20I matches as a captain. Having played 72 matches in the shortest format as a skipper, Mahi won 45 out of them, summing his win percent to amazing 59.28%.

There was one match that tied, and two, which ended in no result out of 72. In this, he has surpassed the likes of William Porterfield, Eoin Morgan, and Asghar Afghan. The current skipper Virat Kohli stands at 11th pedestal in the same list.
