1) Nathan Coulter-Nile

With two fast bowlers taking more than 20 wickets apiece, it is Mumbai’s pace attack, which has been the driving force behind their success in this season. It’s not surprising considering the presence of a couple of best pacers of this generation, Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult in their line-up. Furthermore, they have also found an unexpected ally in the form of James Pattinson, who has done well in his debut IPL season.

The cohesion of the trio has even kept a T20 veteran like Mitchell McClenaghan in the dug-out. Besides, the likes of Dhawal Kulkarni and Mohsin Khan are also waiting in the wings. Hence, looking at the balance in their pace department, it is clear that they might not need the services of their most expensive buy in the 2020 auctions, Nathan Coulter-Nile in the next season.

Though the Australian has scalped three wickets in his 5 appearances in IPL 2020, he hasn’t lived up to his price tag of 8 crores. At first, Coulter Nile was expected to start the season, but a side strain kept him on the sidelines. And that’s what Mumbai should be wary of, as he has a long history of injuries.
