5 Players to watch out for in the India v Bangladesh Test

After an exciting, well-fought series against England, Team India is all set to welcome “The Tigers” led by Mushfiqur Rahim in the Test arena for the very first time in India. The visitors have selected a squad comprising of both exciting youngsters and experienced players like Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan will be expected to lead the charge. While they are there, other lesser recognized players who still have a point to prove at the highest level will have an eye on them as well. His solid gameplay for Bengal earned him a lot of fans but the 32-year-old from Siliguri was never offered at the International level because of MS Dhoni’s presence as a wicketkeeper-batsman. The talented batsman delivered consistent performances with the willow and was tidy with the gloves which an indication that the man from Bengal is indeed ready to step up and prove his caliber on the big stage. The series against Bangladesh will be another opportunity for him to cement his position his position in the side. Saha’s ability to stitch crucial partnerships and lead the innings with a mature knock in the case of early breakthroughs will be a necessity if Shakib successfully works his magic in the middle overs. 3. Yadav has matured massively over the years and has slowly gained a solid reputation. His variations and subtle changes in pace leave a batsman clueless over what to expect which makes him pretty effective. He will be expected to spearhead the pace bowling attack and earn early breakthroughs against Bangladesh. 4. The 19-year-old batting all-rounder is extremely lethal both with the willow and the ball. His ability to adapt to any scenario and lethal bowling performances have earned him a lot of praise from none other than Shakib who is hailed as the greatest cricketer to have emerged from Bangladesh. Mehedi has scored 544 runs in just 16 matches at an average of 25.90 and has earned 64 wickets at an economy of 2.57 which is extremely impressive considering his age. 5. Sabbir Rahman Sabbir Rahman. His excellent fielding and leg-spin bowling performances make him an ideal option for any captain. Not only this, the 25-year-old is more than capable of smashing the ball to all parts of the ground. The player enjoys a glowing reputation and will be expected to finish on a high against the No.1 team.
