There are players who have played in both leagues and have performed well everywhere. However, there are players who haven’t performed well in one of the leagues. Thus, here we take a look at five players who have been hits in the PSL while they’ve struggled in the IPL.

Colin Ingram has been a prolific run-getter in T20 cricket all over the world. The South African-born has played in excess of 250 games in the shortest format. He has represented as many as nine teams, including the Karachi Kings in the PSL and Delhi Capitals (which was Delhi Daredevils before) in the IPL.

The left-hander has been a flop in the cash-rich IPL. He has played 15 games across two seasons (2011 and 2019) and couldn’t click in both. In his debut season, he played three games but it was earlier this year when he got an extended run. Yet, he could muster just 184 runs (12 innings) batting in the middle order for the Delhi Capitals.

However, Ingram has been pretty consistent in the PSL over the last couple of seasons. He has amassed 587 runs at an average of 34.52 and at a strike-rate of 153.66. The left-handed batsman has become a key component of the Karachi middle-order. Hence, he is one of the stars that has flopped in the IPL but excelled in the PSL.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) broke the bank for the left-arm pacer and bought him for INR 12 crores. However, he turned out to be a big disappointment. The English fast bowler played just five games and returned with five wickets. He was expensive as well.
