Yuvraj Singh wasn’t at the top of his game in 2015, but he was yet a massive name, who had the potential of turning games on his head single-handedly. His value can be comprehended from the fact that he went for a whopping price of INR 16 crore.

Delhi Daredevils, now Capitals, brought him in. But the franchise didn’t quite find it easy to bag him as three more teams tried their heart out. Rajasthan Royals (RR), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bid for him, but the Daredevils came out trumps.

Unfortunately, Yuvraj flattered to deceive. In 14 matches, the Chandigarh-born could only manage 238 runs at a dismal average of 19.07. His strike-rate of 118.09 was on the lower side as well. It’s pertinent to note that in 2014, Yuvraj got INR 14 crore from the RCB.
