Shivam Dube, an all-rounder from Mumbai, made headlines after smashing five sixes in five balls in a Ranji game against Baroda. Through this performance, his swashbuckling talent with the bat was noticed by many.

By this, he got a call to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, where he played under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. Though he couldn’t make much of an impact with the bat and ball, he was decent in the 2020 and 2021 editions of the IPL (played for Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 edition).

By that, some thought he would be the ‘next big thing’ for the Indian Cricket team. And he got his maiden T20I call against Bangladesh. When it comes to his international stint, he wasn’t impactful with either bat or ball. In his five-match career so far, he has made 105 runs and scalped just five wickets. By this, it is evident why he couldn’t another chance.
