Chris Gayle, an absolute legend of the T20 format, has provided his fans countless memories during his stint in the IPL. He played for three different teams, including the Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings, but his time with the Royal Challengers Bangalore changed his life forever. After being released by KKR in 2011 auctions, he came as a replacement player for RCB and absolutely revolutionized T20 cricket since then.

In the IPL, “The Universe Boss” had his best moments with RCB. No one will ever forget his magnificent 175* against PWI in 2013, in which he accumulated seventeen humongous sixes and made Chinnaswamy fall in love with him. He along with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers formed the Big Three in RCB and made them win numerous matches. After his time with RCB, he moved on to Punjab Kings, where he made some extremely remarkable cameos.

After a disastrous season in IPL 2021, he was released by the Punjab franchise ahead of the mega auctions. Holding the record of the highest number of sixes and the highest score in IPL, it remains to be seen if he evokes any interest among the franchises with age, not in his favour.
