No captain in IPL has won as many games as MS Dhoni for his team. He has been the biggest match-winner for the Chennai Super Kings. His finishing skills have time and again helped the franchise win important games. In the process, Thala has also made his way to an elite list.

He is the Indian player who has been declared Player of the Match for maximum times. In 170 outings, Dhoni has gotten the award 17 times. In simple terms, he earns one MOM award in every 10 games. It is low compared to the top three players in this list, but he has won most of them while batting down the order.

Digging more, it is revealed that he has crunched 13 half-centuries en route to his record. Besides, in 14 of those 17 innings, he remained unbeaten. Dhoni is the only batsman to win all of them as the captain of the side. He got three apiece in 2013 and 2019, but in both the years, the team lost to Mumbai Indians in the finals.
