Are brain fades the new thing?

Kohli’s dismissal in Pune was called a brain fade. He was called the King of Leaves. And, he probably knows it was a ridiculous one himself. Kohli started this thing, Smith is keeping up in his own way. After the whole Dressing Room Review System thing happened, Smith said, “I got hit on the pad and looked down to Petey and he said look up there. So I turned around and it was a bit of a brain fade on my behalf. I shouldn’t have done that.”

But Kohli says he saw it various times and he was stubborn about it. He held his ground and is obviously not buying Smith’s explanation. He said, “Honestly, if someone makes a mistake while batting, for me, personally, that’s a brain fade. The way I left the ball in Pune, you know, getting hit on the off stump. That was a brain fade. But if something is going on for three days, then that’s not a brain fade, as simple as that.”
