5 Records of Sachin Tendulkar that will remain unbreakable forever
While Sachin Tendulkar's few records might get broken, these will remain forever.
4. Most runs in World Cups
Sachin Tendulkar featured in India’s World Cup squad on six occasions. He played his first game of the mega event in 1992 and ended up winning the elusive trophy in 2011 at his home ground, Wankhede stadium, when India defeated Sri Lanka. And that’s not it. Like he did throughout his career, Sachin also amassed runs in the World Cup.
He scored 2278 runs across six World Cups at an astonishing average of 56.95. He also smacked six centuries and 15 half-centuries. Add to it, the 241 fours which he hit leaving the fans across the world in awe of his batting. He also holds the record of hitting most fours in the 50-over mega event.
In terms of runs scored in the World Cups, his nearest competitor is Ricky Ponting who is 535 runs behind him in this aspect. And amongst the active cricketers, no one even comes close to him.
