None of the middle order batsmen of the South African line up did manage to put up a resilient effort and as a result, the South African innings collapsed in a horrid manner. In fact, Rossouw, Miller and Duminy were all dismissed in single digit scores and that brought the team into further stages of despair. Such a poor performance from the South African middle order was something least expected.
