4. Ben Duckett – Virat Kohli
The English cricketer is an impressive talent and has also made his international debut at a very young age. Ben Duckett has always made headlines for the wrong reasons. In 2015 the left-hander was hit with a ban due to drunk driving. A year ago Ben was the centre of attraction when he threw a beer at senior statesman James Anderson, and a couple of months ago his name was again a talking point in social media.
Australia toured India in March 2019 and Kohli was in blazing form. During this time a cricket-based twitter account, Cricket Shouts asked its followers to come up with various adjectives for the Indian captain. The tweet became trending when Ben Duckett replied with a message “A joke”. Without even trying to understand the perspective the Indian fans went into a frenzy.
Duckett was trolled ruthlessly and people started asking questions on his career. The Twitterati called him the joke of English cricket. His teammate Ben Stokes defended him, but he should have posted a message with a proper meaning instead of using ironic replies.
