5 Times when Rohit Sharma created controversy
Most of these controversies have involved Indian captain Virat Kohli.
4. ‘I don’t just walk out for my team. I walk out for my country’
Just before the team left to the West Indies for a full-fledged tour, Virat Kohli addressed a press conference. Post the World Cup 2019 exit, the rumours of the rift between him and Rohit Sharma intensified. However, the Indian captain rubbished all these speculations.
He even said that these were ‘baffling’ and ‘ridiculous’. While this seemed to have put a full stop on all the news that was circling in social media, Rohit Sharma decided to add fire to the pyre with a cryptic tweet. Just hours after the team left for the Caribbean, he came up with a controversial tweet.
“I don’t just walk out for my Team. I walk out for my country,” he wrote which again added life to this controversy. “We are feeding off lies, we are overlooking facts. We are turning a blind eye to all the good things that has happened and we are creating fantasies and scenarios in our head and want to accept that this is the truth,” stated Virat Kohli earlier.
