Yashasvi Jaiswal
Despite Mumbai getting knocked out in the quarter-finals of the Vijay Hazare tournament, there is one name that is doing rounds in Indian cricketing circles. That is Yashasvi Jaiswal. The 17-year-old top-order batsman has hogged all the limelight and the entire nation is talking about him.
Having played a mere six games (at least four-five games less than the others), Jaiswal still made it to the top five run-getters list in the tournament. The left-handed opener scored 564 runs at an average of 112.80. Moreover, these runs came at a strike-rate of 104.05. He struck one half-century and three hundreds, which included a record-breaking double ton. His lowest score in the tournament was 22.
Thus, Jaiswal was simply magnificent in the tournament. In fact, he was perhaps the find of the tournament. He has created a huge impact and that is most likely to attract a lot of attention. There is no doubt that the young opener will get bids in the IPL auction for the 2020 season.
