Stuart Broad and James Anderson debate over the ‘James Anderson’ end
Stuart Broad and James Anderson are one of the best new-ball pairs of the modern era. The England fast bowling duo has accomplished many things side by side. They’ve bowled together and rattled the batsmen with swing and seam for the major part of their careers. They are on the top of the list of leading wicket-takers for England in Test cricket.
In 2017, the Pavilion End at the Old Trafford in Manchester was renamed to the James Anderson End in honour of the pace bowler’s achievements. However, a year later, a fan asked a question whether Anderson bowls from the end named after him or allows Broad to take that honour.
Broad kicked off the conversation by saying that it is Anderson who has the final say and more often than not bowls from the James Anderson end. The veteran Lancashire fast bowler joined in the conversation. The two kept pulling each other’s leg before the fan declared Anderson as the winner.
Every morning of a Test we walks in & says “James Anderson is going to bowl from the James Anderson End today.”
