Ross Taylor’s epic reply to Virender Sehwag’s darji comment
Virender Sehwag is a very active Twitter user. His tweets are often funny and hilarious. In fact, he terms players with unique and innovative names. For example, he termed Ross Taylor as darji which in Hindi translates to a tailor. However, while admiring the former Kiwi skipper for one of his innings, Sehwag was caught off-guard by Taylor’s response.
In 2017, Taylor along with Tom Latham forged a fabulous partnership to lead New Zealand to a win in the first ODI in Mumbai. Hence, Sehwag put out an appreciation tweet which also included a bit of leg-pulling. However, to everyone’s surprise, the New Zealander replied in Hindi and continued the banter.
This eventually led to Taylor pulling Sehwag’s leg by asking him if his tailor hasn’t done a good job during Diwali. The former Indian opener replied sportingly as well as he said that no one can match the high standards the Kiwi middle-order batsman has set.
Thanks @virendersehwag bhai agli Baar Apna order time pe Bhej dena so Mai Apko agli Diwali ke pehle deliver kardunga ….happy Diwali
