While most of the franchises tried to structure their squad surrounding the experienced players, the uncapped players also had their luck going in the right way.
5. Devdutt Padikkal
A cricketer who has been long in the selectors’ radar and also features for the India A team, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has shown their faith on him and retained him for another year. Also, other than Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patil, he will be the most looked-after Indian batsman in the RCB squad.
The 19-year-old will enter the next IPL on the back of a brilliant domestic season in white-ball cricket. He was the leading run-scorer in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019 and the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the domestic One Day tournament.
