The dates for the IPL 2020 auctions are out. The fans will be eagerly waiting for 19th December, since that’s the official date for the auctions of the toughest cricket league in the world. The fates of many aspiring players will be at stake in this auction. Since the teams can retain as many players as they wish to, we might not see much change in the core. However, the franchises would have carefully followed the World Cup 2019 and the domestic tournaments, to decide their wishlist. The players who have performed in these leagues will have a chance to get big bids in the auction. Moreover, many players who had gone unsold last time around would be looking for redemption. He has impressed with the bat every time, with 30-run cameos in the death overs. Overall, he has a strike rate of 168 in the T20s, making him a dangerous batsman. Not to forget, he is a pretty safe keeper. Moreover, he has been in excellent form, scoring 367 runs in the World Cup, and following it with 175 runs in 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. It would be interesting to see if he could finally earn an IPL franchise this time around, for he is a safe man to rely upon.
