3) Suresh Raina, 23 years 112 days
Who can forget the cameo played a young Indian left-hander in the quarter-final of 2011 World Cup. You guessed it right it is Suresh Raina who has been a great servant of the Indian cricket team. He was the first Indian to score a century in each format of the game. The southpaw has played more than 300 international games and has always contributed to the team in every possible way.
In his heydays, Raina administered the middle-order duties of the country for a good amount of time. On top of that, he has also donned the skipper tag of the Blue team in a handful of games. So it is evident that he has been considered an able leader. That’s why even the CSK franchise has invariably held him in high regard.
He was also assigned the leadership duties in the 2010 edition when MS Dhoni suffered an elbow injury. Suresh guided the Yellow brigade in 3 games. It didn’t turn out to be a scripted fairytale for him as the team lost two of their ties under his captaincy. Still, it might be a memorable moment for the CSK fans as the Chinna Thala shouldered the responsibilities when Thala, Dhoni was not around his kingdom.
