6 cricketers who played most IPL seasons but are yet to make India debut
A lot of talented players have knocked at the doors of the national selectors.
4. Shreyas Gopal (6 seasons)
Shreyas Gopal was first bought by Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2014 IPL auction, where he spent four seasons but did not get many opportunities due to the presence of stars in their side.
He was bought by the Rajasthan Royals in the auction ahead out of the 2018 IPL edition and from there on there was no looking backwards for the young Karnataka leg spinner who put on some fine performances at crucial moments for his team.
In the very next season he continued from where he left, but his most notable performance was the hat-trick against RCB in a rain-hit match which included the dream scalps of Virat Kohli, and AB de Villiers. For his performances in the that season, he was named in the ESPNCricinfo IPL XI.
The all-rounder from Karnataka made his first-class debut in the 2013-14 season and played a key role in the team claiming the Ranji Trophy. He is not only an effective leg-spinner, but a reliable batsman in the lower middle-order as well.
Gopal picked another hat-trick, which was his first in the Irani Cup history against Rest of India (ROI), helping Karnataka win the trophy. He has also represented the India A team.
Some good performances in the upcoming IPL could make him a serious contender for a call-up to the national team.
