In the World Cup 2011 quarter-final against Australia at Ahmedabad, Yuvraj struck an unbeaten 57 of 65 balls to take India to the semi-finals. He hit 8 boundaries in his innings. Earlier in the match, he picked two crucial wickets of Brad Haddin and Michael Clarke and ended with figures of 2/44. This inning was just another highlight of the prolific tournament that he had. Yuvraj made the tournament his own winning the Man of the Series. He scored 362 runs in the tournament including one century and four fifties took 15 wickets. In India’s match against Ireland, he became the first player to take 5 wickets and score 50 runs in a World Cup match.
