9 Cricketers and their Super Hero Cousins: Modern cricket is growing leaps and bounds steadily but surely both in terms of popularity of the sport and also the quality of cricket that we get to see. The intensity and the level of play is getting better and better every day. With the advent of the T20 cricket, the game has become more famous and we are getting to witness some unreal improvisations by the players, some extraordinary fielding efforts and many more. Sometimes we run short of acronyms to describe the marvelous athletes of this generation. So what if we compare our incredible cricketers with the superheroes of the fantasy world? Here is the result of the creative activity that we undertook:

1. Abraham Benjamin de Villiers and Superman:

Superman is one of our favorite and an unforgettable childhood heroes, isn’t he?  Superman possesses super human strength and destroys his adversaries at will. Now AB de Villiers does the same with the bowlers that he faces, dispatching their deliveries at will.  Superman is fearless and selfless. ABD is fearless, goes for his shots bravely and selflessly and is a perfect team-man. Superman does everything. De Villiers literally excels at everything be it Badminton, Tennis, Science, Cricket and so on. Lastly, Superman is humble. With all the things that he’s achieved, we can never ever find a pinch of arrogance in ABD’s demeanor, there is always a profound sense of humility in the way he behaves and talks.
