Royal Challengers Bangalore came up with a unique celebration song in the dressing room after the victory against the Rajasthan Royals in Match 13 of IPL 2022. The Faf du Plessis-led side had lost their opening encounter against the Punjab Kings, but since then they have produced some amazing performances against the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Rajasthan Royals in the previous game.
The return of Dinesh Karthik to RCB in the mega auction this year has proved to be a blessing in disguise for the franchise, as he has played three unbeaten knocks of the highest quality so far. The veteran batter stitched a crucial partnership with Shahbaz Ahmed for the sixth wicket and took his franchise home with an unbeaten 44 of just 23 balls. The 36-year-old will surely be in contention for selection for the national team again if he bats in the way he has done so far in IPL 2022.
Here’s the victory song from the RCB

On account of a fine win against the Royals which looked improbable at one point, RCB celebrated the victory in the dressing room with the whole team, including the big names like Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Dinesh Karthik who were all singing the new team song. The franchise is yet to win an IPL title despite making the finals on three occasions, and they have formed a formidable group this year and would hope to end the jinx.
“The pants are red. The shirt is blue. The golden lion is shining through. We are RCB. We are playing bold. Go to the final on our own. A finer team you’ll never see, a finer team there’ll never be. Those other teams don’t bother me, From RCB I am proud to be. We are RCB, RCB,” the lyrics of the song read.
RCB are currently in the sixth position on the points table with four points to their name in three games and have a marginally positive net run rate. They will play the Mumbai Indians in their next encounter at the MCA Stadium in Pune on April 9 (Saturday).
