We are just moments away from the commencement of the final of IPL 10 and without a doubt, we have a crackerjack of a match on our hands. While Mumbai Indians know what it takes to lift the title, Rising Pune Supergiant will be looking to lift their first title in only their 2nd year. Pune have beaten Mumbai all three times in the tournament before but it will be a different ball game in the final and the statistics will hardly matter.

Despite Pune’s superior record in the season so far against the Mumbai Indians, former Indian opener and a current analyst Aakash Chopra has backed the Mumbai Indians to become the first team to lift the title thrice. He further added that if MS Dhoni was the captain of Pune, he would have tipped the latter to bag the honours.

Taking to his twitter handle Aakash wrote, Tough to pick a winner today…but still I’m going for #MI to lift the cup. Would’ve picked #RPS if MSD was the captain #JioCricketHotspot. It is certainly going to be a mouth-watering contest and Aakash’s call is something which he took remembering the past forms of Mumbai and their settled line-up. Despite three losses on a trot to Pune, the law of averages is bound to catch up and Mumbai might just tip Pune to lift the title thrice.

Big names in both the teams

There are some big players in either team and it will be a tough battle between the bat and the ball. The top order of Mumbai Indians will be hoping to get back to some run-scoring form after a couple of lacklustre showings in the Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator.

On the other hand, Pune will be bolstered by the fact that MS Dhoni is hitting the ball really and it was courtesy his quickfire 40 the other day which helped Pune beat Mumbai in the Qualifier 1.
