Aakash Chopra reveals his all-time CSK XI, assigns the captain's role to MS Dhoni
For the No.3 spot, Chopra picked up Suresh Raina in his side.

In these trying times of COVID-19 outbreak, many cricketers have dished out their Best XI teams on social media in order to provide sports fanatics with some entertainment.
Moreover, the much-awaited IPL 2020 has also been postponed indefinitely and fans are left with no choice but to spend their quarantine time on social media. Amid the quarantine period, cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra has also been busy in conducting Twitter Q&A as well as YouTube videos. The former India batsman has been busy in sharing many videos for his fans and his recent treat for the fans was– Aakash Chopra’s all-time CSK XI.
Chennai Super Kings, regarded as one of the most successful franchises in the IPL, has a vast and loyal fan base. Chopra, for the CSK fans, revealed his all-time CSK XI comprising many world-class players. The Dhoni-led side has been the most consistent side in the history of IPL and the franchise is known for progressing into the playoffs every season.
Aakash Chopra picked Michael Hussey over Mathew Hayden
To start off his CSK XI, Chopra chose Mr Cricket– Michael Hussey as the first opener. To compliment Hussey, Chopra went with Muraj Vijay as he is the fourth-highest run-scorer for the franchise including the highest score of 127.
For the No.3 spot, Chopra picked up Suresh Raina in his side. The left-hander is regarded as one of the most successful batsmen in the history of IPL. Following Raina, Chopra slotted Shane Watson as the No.4 batsman in his side. Watson, known for his all-round abilities, has delivered many match-winning performances for CSK.
Chopra further picked MS Dhoni as the wicketkeeper as well as the skipper of the squad. The former India skipper has been phenomenal for Chennai Super Kings and has mustered runs for the franchise at an impressive average of 44.30. Chopra then slotted Ravindra Jadeja into the side on the back of his all-round ability. Following Jadeja, another impressive all-rounder — Dwayne Bravo– was also picked up by Chopra.
Albie Morkel– who has scalped 76 wickets for CSK along with scoring runs at an impressive strike rate of 144.8– was also picked by Chopra in his side. Talking of the bowling trio, Chopra picked up Ravichandran Ashwin, Deepak Chahar and Ashish Nehra for their wicket-taking abilities. All three bowlers have also donned the Indian jersey in their career and have delivered consistent performances at the start as well as during the death.
