Aaron Finch and his wife Amy receive threats after cricketer's poor form continues

Australia skipper Aaron Finch is going through possibly the toughest time of his career. He didn’t have a great Big Bash League (BBL) 2020-21 season while playing for the Melbourne Renegades and the poor form has just stretched into the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand. This has led to Finch and his wife, Amy, receiving threats of violence of se**al assault on social media.

The cricketer’s wife decided to call out the trolls targetting her and her husband stating that she has had enough of all this. She shared a disgusting comment on one of her old posts on her social media account and slammed the trollers while also stating that Aaron Finch is trying all he can to return to form.

“Tell your husband to step up his captaincy bloody loser f**king a**hole b*tch because of him I lost all my money,” the comment on one of her posts read. Sharing this comment, Amy Finch wrote, “Part of me doesn’t want to give this individual the satisfaction of a response. I don’t appreciate it, neither does my husband who is battling and doing everything he possibly can to get back into the runs.

“Honestly, these keyboard warriors need to go get a bloody life. This isn’t even one of the worst that has come my way but I’ve had enough!”

Aaron Finch’s poor form

Interestingly, Aaron Finch was the highest run-getter in the three-match ODI series against India during the home summer. He had scored 249 runs at a terrific average of 83. But things have gone haywire since then. He could only muster 35 runs in two innings in the T20I series against India. The poor form spilled into the BBL as well where he could only score 179 runs in 13 innings at an average of 13.76.

He also went unsold in the IPL Auction ahead of the 2021 season after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) released him. Many expected him to find some form in New Zealand where pitches are known to be flat. But in the first two T20Is, the Australian skipper has managed scores of 1 and 12 so far when the team was chasing a huge total.

The 34-year-old will be itching to hit the right gears in the third T20I of the five-match series to be played on March 3. Australia are currently 0-2 down in the series.
