With the upcoming biopic of MS Dhoni about to release in a few weeks time, there is a lot of buzz going all around the country. Meanwhile, former Australian wicket-keeper batsman Adam Gilchrist revealed that he would like Hrithik Roshan to play his role in Bollywood if his life were ever to be made into a film.

Gilchrist wants the American actor and filmmaker George Clooney to play his role in Hollywood. “I’m not even for a moment suggesting that I’m as good looking as Clooney, but I think he brings to the table a level of sophistication and suave that I quite like. From Bollywood, it would be nice to have someone as good looking as Hrithik Roshan to play me,” he said with a laugh.

Adam Gilchrist unexpectedly announced his retirement from international cricket on 26 January 2008, ending a remarkable career. He told his teammates about his retirement plans before the third day’s play in the fourth Test against India in the series, and his retirement effective at the end of the triangular one-day series was announced at the end of play.

The 44-year-old is considered to be the one who revolutionized the way wicket keeping was perceived over the years. He ended up with over 5500 runs in Test cricket and over 200 runs from his small Twenty20 international career comprising off 13 matches. He fell nearly 400-run short of scoring 10,000 runs in One Day International (ODI) cricket career and is considered as one of the most exhilarating cricketers of the modern age.

Earlier, cricketers like Irfan Pathan and Shoaib Akhtar came up with their Bollywood picks who can portray their roles. Irfan Pathan wants Ranbir Kapoor and Shoaib Akhtar picked Salman Khan to portray his role in his biopic.
