24-year-old Hanuma Vihari made his Test debut for India in the fifth Test against England. This Andhra Pradesh batsman was impressive in the first innings of that game with a well-fought out 56. However, in the second innings, he got out for a duck in a critical situation.
Although he was picked for the series against the Windies, the right-hander was benched during the first Test. Since India went in with both Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, the talented batsman found no place in the XI. But, he still seems to be in a positive frame of mind.
‘Grow through what you go through!’
On Sunday, Hanuma Vihari put up a motivational tweet for himself on the micro-blogging site Twitter. In his tweet, he also shared a picture of his while batting in England. ‘Grow through what you go through! #OnField #MondayMotivation,’ he wrote in his tweet.

The second Test against the Windies will be played at Hyderabad and the match will commence on October 12, 2018. The Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium at Uppal in Hyderabad is quite a familiar territory for Vihari. He has grown up playing a lot of cricket at the venue. In fact, he also represented Hyderabad at the Ranji level for some time before he moved to the Andhra Pradesh team.
Although he would be itching to get a game over there, it looks to be an improbable scenario at the moment. Only if the team management decides to go ahead with some of the benched players and rest the others, he could fancy an opportunity. Along with him, Mohammad Siraj, another local boy, would be eager to make his Test debut at his home ground in Hyderabad.
The captain and management will also be exploring options to accommodate Mayank Agarwal in the playing eleven for the final Test. The 27-year-old has scored tons of runs in domestic cricket and has been highly consistent. However, he hasn’t got as many opportunities as he would like.
