“MS Dhoni – The Untold Story” the biopic of India’s most successful skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the most awaited Bollywood movies of this year. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput plays the role MS Dhoni in the movie. The film will feature Kiara Advani as Sakshi Dhoni (MS Dhoni’s wife) and Anupam Kher as Pan Singh (his father).

In a recent interview, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar revealed that he wanted to star in Dhoni’s biopic. Akshay stated that he really wanted to play his part on-screen in the movie and had even asked director Neeraj Pandey to consider him for the role, but Neeraj did not approve since he really didn’t look like the character. To this, Akshay had no choice and agreed with the director.

The teaser of the movie has already been released. The makers of the film unveiled the official poster on Dhoni’s birthday 7th July that depicts different stages of the cricketer’s life. Fox Star Studios serves as the primary producer of the film.

Shikha Kapur the Chief marketing officer of Fox Star Studios said, “MS Dhoni’s greatest connect with his millions of fans stems from the fact that they see him as truly representative of their dreams and aspirations. In a way, Dhoni stands for the common man’s hero and his fans share a special kinship with him that extend beyond the cricket field. Launching a major asset of the film, like the first official poster through his fans, is our way of giving all his followers something special on his birthday. The subsequent contest where we gratify the best video wishes of users by including them in the end credits of the actual film, is another way of extending the cinematic experience beyond the realm of the big screen and bring audiences that much closer to their stars.”
