Coronavirus outbreak has left cricketers with no work. So they are utilising this opportunity to spend some good time with their families. Meanwhile, they have also become active on social media platforms. Some of the players conducted Question and Answer sessions with the fans.

Recently, Smriti Mandhana also joined the bandwagon as she gave answers to the curious questions of her followers. During the session, she left her national teammate Jemimah Rodrigues disappointed over a question.

Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodreguez share a strong bond on and off the field. They were also part of the Team India squad that went to play Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia. In that showpiece event, India Women managed to reach the finals but ended up losing the final against hosts Australia by a margin of 85 runs.

Jemimah Rodrigues disappointed with her friend Smriti Mandhana

The duo recently returned from the abroad after playing in the mega-event. Soon after that, PM Narendra Modi announced lockdown in the country. So, the players, who were expected to start gearing up for the future series, are now spending their back at their homes. It is obvious that Mandhana and Rodreguez, who share a strong bond on the field would be missing each other.

So, in the question and answer round-up, a fan questioned the Indian Women opener that whether she is missing Jemimah Rodreguez or not. The follower took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Are u missing Jemimah these days? as she is ur close mate?? #AskSmriti.” Mandhana gave a hilariously reply saying that she is not missing her national teammate. Moreover, she is having a lot of peace in her life in her absence.

As soon as Jemimah came across this post, she got disappointed with her friend’s reply. So, she said that Alexa please play Bewafa song sung by Imran Khan. The Indian Women cricketer took to her official Twitter handle and wrote, “This is so sad. Alexa play Bewafa by Imran Khan ):#pain.”

At the moment, India is in lockdown until the 14th of April. And, the players might get an opportunity to meet after that if the government doesn’t extend the tenure of lockdown in the nation due to COVID-19 outbreak.
