It was reported yesterday by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) that a team was bowled out for 0. This rare unwanted feat was achieved during the Kent regional finals of the ECB’s national six-a-side championship when the Bapchild team ‘achieved’ this under 20 balls.
Without troubling the scorers, the team was dismissed for a naught in an indoor game against Christ Church University in Canterbury.
“We couldn’t believe it, all they needed to do was hit a wall to get one run,” said a Christ Church player Mike Rose. He added “We all couldn’t really believe it to be honest, bowling a team out for 0, especially indoors. I think I was the only fielder to touch the ball off the bat!”
It was back in 1913 that a Somerset club Langport had set this new low when no batsman of their team got off the mark. In 1964, this record was again seen when a Kent village team Saltwood CC scored 216 before bowling Martin Walters out for zero in 8.2 overs during a match in 1964.
In first class cricket, the lowest score ever registered was 6 made by ‘The B’ against England at the old Lord’s ground in 1810. And New Zealand has done the worst in international cricket with them holding this unwanted ‘accomplishment’ when they scored 26 against England in 1955.
This is how the scorecard of the infamous match looks like:

ECB also decided to troll the Kent indoor team that got out for 0.
