Angelo Mathews named his all-time XI

Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews had selected his all-time XI comprising of a set of legends among which five of them are from Sri Lanka.
Former Sri Lankan skipper Aravinda de Silva has been chosen to lead his side with the Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar along with the former Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara are the opening batsmen.
Kumar Sangakkara is chosen to open the innings, despite the fact that he batted at no.3 for most part of his career. He is also the wicket-keeper of the side. The West Indies great Brian Lara comes at no.4, who is one of the best West Indian batsmen after Garfield Sobers and Viv Richards.
After de Silva at no.4, he chooses former Sri Lankan, Mahela Jayawardene to come at no.5 followed by the South African great Jacques Kallis, who is one of the best all-rounders in the cricket history with over 25000 international runs and over 550 international wickets.

And in the bowling department, there was no surprises that the subcontinent player went for two spinners – Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan, who are undoubtedly the most successful spinners in world cricket.
For the pace bowling department, he picked Pakistan great, Wasim Akram, who is known to be the ‘King of Swing’ and Chaminda Vaas, who is the best pace bowler Sri Lanka ever had and he is the one who holds the record of the best bowling figure in ODI cricket of 7/12.
