Angry Father, Yograj Singh calls Indian skipper MS Dhoni a media gimmick: As we all prepare for another season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), we are surprised by another unexpected outburst of emotions by Yograj Singh, father of Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh.

This is the second time that he has spoken on national television not only criticizing but degrading the MS Dhoni’s persona. Earlier he had questioned his intentions and said that due to his personal differences with Yuvi the skipper had made sure that the left hander was not a part of India’s world cup 2015 squad. The south paw understanding the repercussions this could create instantly clarified his stand on twitter and said it was under the influence of emotions that his father spoke all that he did.

In a fresh incident Yograj calls Dhoni a cricket God created by the media, curses the India and CSK skipper, and disgusts the Dhoni for his arrogance also compares him with Ravana.

Yograj Singh was quoted by a Hindi News Channel saying, “Dhoni was nothing. He has become a God in cricket just because of media. Media has crowned him as a great which he never deserved. There was a time when he had nothing but today he sits in front of media and rips off the media persons. He laughs at media who has given him so much hype. He laughs at the Indian people who clap when he scores a run,”

He did not stop there and added, “Honestly, if I were a media person, I would have slapped Dhoni right there. I feel really ashamed when other cricketers come and tell me about Dhoni. Earlier, I used to think that people must be cribbing about Dhoni due to jealousy. But when the cricketers told me about him, I think I have never seen a terrible person like him ever in my life,”

Yograj continued his criticism saying, “In the 2011 final, Yuvraj was going to bat but Dhoni stopped him and went to bat and became a hero. Why didn’t he bat at No. 4 this time? Why did he go at No. 6? If he considers himself great then he should have batted at No. 6 and guided India to a win against the Aussies.”

Yuvraj Singh’s father was not done until he cursed the Indian captain, he said, “There will be a day when Dhoni will be left to beg and become penniless and would not get any favour.”
