Anil Kumble donates an undisclosed amount to the PM CARES and Karnataka CM Relif Fund

Earlier this week, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma also donated to the relief funds.

India’s fight against the Coronavirus is at the crucial stage at the moment. The country is feared to enter the third stage of the virus which starts the community transmission. However, the Indian Government has so far confirmed that the nation hasn’t entered the stage. But the fight continues to stay safe and save the lives of the ones suffering and the Indian cricketing fraternity is doing its bit with the donations to the Relief Funds.

Former India head coach Anil Kumble has donated an undisclosed amount to the PM CARES and the Karnataka CM Relief Fund. And has urged his fans and followers to stay strong and safe during these tough times. He also felt that everyone in the country has to fight together in order to eradicate the presence of the Coronavirus from India.

Kumble took to his official Twitter handle on Tuesday to confirm his donation to the relief funds. However, he didn’t disclose the amount he donated to the noble cause. “To bowl out #Covid19India we all need to come together and fight this battle. I have made my humble contributions to #PMCaresFund #PMNRF and #CMReliefFund @PMOIndia @narendramodi @CMofKarnataka @BSYBJP Please do #StaySafeStayHome,” his tweet read.

Kohli and Anushka also didn’t disclose the amount

Among the Indian cricketers, the skipper of the national team Virat Kohli, with his wife Anushka Sharma, pledged to donate to the PM CARES and the Maharashtra CM Relief Fund in the fight against the Coronavirus. The couple hadn’t disclosed the amount in their statement. However, an industry source close to the couple confirmed that they have donated Rs 3 crore to the cause.

Moreover, Rohit Sharma also stepped in on Tuesday donating Rs 80 lakh to the various relief funds. Among them, he donated Rs 45 lakh to PM CARES, Rs 25 lakh Maharashtra CM Relief Fund while Rs 5 lakh each to Zomato’s Feeding India initiative and the Welfare of Stray Dogs.

Apart from these two, the likes of Sourav Ganguly, BCCI, Suresh Raina, Ajinkya Rahane, Sachin Tendulkar among others have done their bit too.
