Anushka Sharma drools over Virat Kohli's majestic ton yet again

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has made it a habit to make the headlines every time team India steps on the cricket field. He is arguably the most consistent batsman in world cricket. No wonder Kohli is fetching praises from all corners of the cricket world. Among the lot, Kohli’s biggest fan is certainly his wife, Anushka Sharma. The recently-wed couple had a hide-and-seek relationship with the media for almost over two years.

But now that they are officially hitched, Anushka Sharma is not shy of expressing her love for Virat Kohli publicly. Anushka took to her social media handle to post stories about Virat Kohli yet again. Kohli registered his 34th ODI ton recently in the third ODI against South Africa at the Newlands, Cape Town. The majestic ton was a herculean effort by many means. This was his 12th ODI ton as the captain of the Indian team.

This made him top the list of Indian captains with most ODI tons to their names as the leader of the side. Furthermore, he is second to only Sachin Tendulkar in the list of cricketers with most ODI tons. In the Cape Town game, Kohli struck an unbeaten 160 off just 159 deliveries. His knock was special considering the fact that the Indian batting seemed to crumble towards the end of the innings.

Interestingly, the pitch had looked decent enough for batting early on in the match. But as the game progressed, it became tougher to middle the deliveries. Despite the odds being against the batsmen, Kohli rallied along, almost singlehandedly after the dismissal of Shikhar Dhawan. He held the Indian innings together and ensured that the team posted a total in excess of 300 on the board.

Soon after Kohli reached his milestone number, Anushka Sharma posted a couple of updates for her husband. Again, she exclaimed ‘What a guy!’ whilst describing the knock. This is not the first time that she has uploaded such stories. A few days ago, during the first ODI of the same series, Virat Kohli had scored an emphatic ton in Durban to help India register their first ODI win at the venue. After the knock, Anushka had posted updates for Kohli back then as well.
