Virender Sehwag is considered as one of the funniest Indian cricketers of all time and he is once again trending after his witty reply to Zaid Hamid of Pakistan. On his way to belittle India’s Neeraj Chopra, Hamid misquoted him as Ashish Nehra on Twitter. The tweet didn’t age well as Virender Sehwag took note of it and brutally trolled Hamid for his mistake.
Hamid congratulated Arshad Nadeem, who won gold in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games after crossing the 90-meter mark. However, the political commentator then called out Ashish Nehra out of nowhere and termed the win as a ‘sweet revenge’.
Hamid on his Twitter account said, “And what makes this victory, even more, sweeter is the fact that this Pakistani athlete has destroyed Indian javelin throw hero Ashish Nehra… In the last competition Ashish had defeated Arshad Nadeem… What a sweet revenge come back…”
Little did he know that he would be trending in India especially when his Twitter profile has been withheld in India in response to a legal demand. Sehwag, however, managed to share a screenshot of his tweet and gave a witty reply to Hamid.
“Chicha, Ashish Nehra is right now preparing for UK Prime Minister Elections. So Chill”, said the former India opener. Notably, Rishi Sunak, who’s one of the candidates to become the next Prime Minister of UK is often considered as Ashish Nehra look alike. Ever since the incident happened, the netizens shared their thoughts on the matter as well. People in India called him out and mostly in a funny way.
