Asia Cup 2018: Varun Dhawan in awe of Kedar Jadhav and Kevin Pietersen's chemistry in the final
Jadhav's gutsy effort won the game for Team India.
Kedar Jadhav, despite his hamstring injury, fought it out for Team India in the final of the Asia Cup and won the seventh title for them. He ran hard when it mattered the most in the last over and didn’t bother about his injury and everyone loved his fighting spirit. However, after the match, Kevin Pietersen called him for an interview and had a friendly chat with him as well which the Bollywood superstar Varun Dhawan absolutely loved.
Both the cricketers have played together in the same team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) before. Pietersen and Jadhav were part of the Delhi Daredevils setup a few years ago and have shared the dressing room together. They know each other very well and the chemistry was show after India’s victory in Dubai.
Even in the commentary box, the former English international was going gaga over Jadhav’s ability to fight under different circumstances and always had a soft corner for him in tough times as well. During the interview after the match, it was so nice to see Pietersen praising his efforts with the bat and calling him an all-rounder.
Dhawan thrilled with the game
Varun Dhawan who seems to have closely followed the last-ball thriller between India and Bangladesh liked the way both the cricketers went about their things during a brief chat. He was also thrilled with the way the match panned out and congratulated Team India for being crowned as the Asian Champions for the seventh time.
He took to his official Twiter handle to express his jubilation and wrote, “Have to love the chemistry between @KP24 and @JadhavKedar. This match was a thriller well played #sabbadhiyaahai #INDvBAN. #champions.”
As far as Jadhav’s injury is concerned, soon an official update is likely to come and it is possible that he might get ruled out of the action for the next few weeks.
