Australia-India Combined ODI XI

And at last, we saw an end of a run-fisting series with a win of India in which there were 11 centuries scored by different batsmen and total 3159 runs scored from 12th January to 23rd January. He has scored 441 runs in 5 matches with an average of 110.25 and a strike rate of 101.61. Rohit has created and broken many records throughout the series and recently got his highest ranking in ODI cricket as now he is at no.5 in the latest ICC rankings of batsman for ODIs. 3. Virat Kohli India’s batsman Virat Kohli. Like every cricketer has to face tough times as Virat had seen in 2015 but this is how champion players make a comeback and stamp their authorities as we present series in numbers for Virat Kohli and that proves he deserves to be in this combined ODI XI. He has scored 381 runs in 5 matches with an average of 76.20 and a strike rate of 99.22. 4. Steve Smith (Captain) Steve Smith of Australia. He has scored 315 runs in 5 matches with an average of 63.00 and a strike rate of 107.51. 5. George Bailey Australia’s George Bailey. He has scored 86 runs in 5 matches with an average of 17.20 and a strike rate of 111.69 and he also claimed four dismissals as a wicket-keeper in the series. 8. Mitchell Marsh (Photo Source: Getty Images) By scoring his maiden ODI ton against India in 5th ODI at Sydney, he has certainly showed his potential on which Australian selectors have showed their faith and most importantly by not considering experienced veteran Shane Watson and he has certainly shut the door of for Watson as far as in the Australian ODI side and that’s why he picked up as an all-rounder in this team. He has scored 164 runs in 4 matches with an average of 82.00 and a strike rate of 107.19 and also picked up three wickets in the series and played a vital role in the series as an all-rounder. 9. John Hastings C John Hastings of Australia. (Photo by Mark Metcalfe – CA/Cricket Australia/Getty Images) What we call a surprised selection of John Hastings in the second ODI match and jeez, he looked certainly different from others and his numbers proved that as he became the highest wicket taker of the series and provided wickets to his captain Steven Smith whenever he was brought back into the attack to take a wicket by Smith and who can forget those two wickets of MS Dhoni and Shikhar Dhawan, certainly Indian will not, which has changed the completion of the game and India lost that game badly after being in winning positions throughout the run-chase. He picked up 10 wickets in four matches that he played for Australia in series with an economy rate of 5.65 and including 4 four-fer. 10. Ishant Sharma (Photo Source: Getty Images) By starting the series by delivering too many wide-balls and ending up by giving just four runs in the last over as we can say that he is back but not yet to his best but certainly cemented his place in the Indian ODI XI as of now. Although he has not been consistent as John Hastings was in the series for Australia but Ishant’s number of wickets in the series which makes his case better to be in this team while compared to other bowlers. He picked up nine wickets in four matches that he played for India in series with an economy rate of 6.25 and including a four-fer. He was the second highest wicket-taker of the series. 11. Kane Richardson (Photo by Mark Metcalfe – CA/Cricket Australia/Getty Images) Australia has always produced good fast bowlers in their cricketing history as Kane Richardson who has picked a five-fer to give Australia a chance to whitewash of India in the 4th ODI match. Throughout the series, he has impressed one and all with his commitment throughout 50 overs on the field, as a bowler or a fielder so now he has certainly raised a bar in Australian ODI cricket team among other bowlers as far as the short-term future is concerned. He picked up six wickets in three matches that he played for Australia in series with an economy rate of 6.32 and including a five-fer.
