It is known to all that Ashes 2021-22 ended with hosts Australia thrashing England 4-0 to clinch all the glory. However, as soon as the high-profile series ended, players went on to different venues to celebrate the victory. In the same line of events, police had to step in a post Ashes party in Hobart where three Australian cricketers along with English skipper Joe Root, and James Anderson could be seen enjoying booze.

A video that has gone on to make rounds on social media was recorded by officers on-site and a voice can be heard in the same saying, this is meant for the lawyers. In the same video, Travis Head, Alex Carey, Nathan Lyon, Anderson, and Root can be seen having a gala time together at a hotel rooftop.

As per the reports, the scene was from Monday morning where Lyon and Carey could be seen in Test uniforms, following the conclusion of the closing Ashes Test. A clock on the wall showed 6.30 am, which suggested that players had been indulging in a night-long party. After the police broke the scene, cricketers were obliged to wrap it up quickly and left the venue.

It has to be noted that a party was in place to celebrate Australia’s successful run in the Ashes where they stunned guests 4-0. New skipper Pat Cummins got all his boxes ticket and marked a dream debut in his captaincy stint by clinching the high-profile series. In the five long Test series, only the contest at SCG resulted in a draw whereas England lost all the other four matches.

Nothing really clicked for the visiting party where they tried various combinations and ever since their mega defeat, there have been various talks on Joe Root as to how he should leave captaincy and make way for Ben Stokes. Many also talked of head coach Chris Silverwood ending his stint after this embarrassing loss but as of now, both of them will continue with their roles.
