IPL 2025: CSK vs SRH Stats & Records at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai
Both teams will be fighting to get out of last place.
Two teams that have been struggling against all expectations in IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League) now come head-to-head, desperately hoping to avoid the wooden spoon. Match No. 43 of IPL 2025 will be played between ninth-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and 10th-placed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
SRH and CSK were slotted to play a mini tri-series with MI in between the tournament over the past week. Both of these teams' latest matches were against MI, and both of them lost. Interestingly, both matches played out rather similarly.
CSK's start in Mumbai was a very slow one, and it took 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre to bring some energy to the innings. Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner put in restrictive bowling performances, but fifties from Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube gave CSK something worth defending. However, Rohit Sharma's apparent return to form was enough to blow them away. Despite Ryan Rickelton struggling at the start, both Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav made unbeaten fifties at high strike rates to take MI to a nine-wicket win.
SRH's loss to MI in Hyderabad was even more turbulent. Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar took two wickets each in the powerplay, as SRH looked to be in serious danger of being dismissed for a record-low total. Heinrich Klaasen and Abhinav Manohar staged a recovery to give Hyderabad something to bowl at, even though Boult took more wickets at the death as well.
Rohit Sharma once again flayed the bowling attack as if he had found his touch back and turned the result into a formality with his second consecutive fifty of the season. Suryakumar Yadav put in the finishing touches on an easy chase. CSK will have to find some answers soon, considering they have lost each of their last three matches at Chepauk.

2. Abhishek Sharma vs Ravindra Jadeja
