Here’s how the fans reacted on Twitter.
It’s been a rough week for the Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir. Recently, he stepped down as Delhi Daredevils captain citing his poor performances and passed the torch to the 23-year-old Shreyas Iyer. Just a few days after his resignation, he made a comment on the Pakistan cricket and now gets labelled as a “Verbal terrorist.”
Controversial Australian Journalist Dennis Freedman who is known for his sarcastic comments on the Indian cricket team is the one who has thrown a jibe at Gambhir.
What was Gambhir’s comment?
In a recent interview, Gambhir gave a solution to end the ongoing India-Pakistan dispute. He advised his country to ban Pakistan from music and film industry. He said, “Merely boycotting cricketing ties with Pakistan will not help. If a ban is imposed, it should be in all sectors, be it films, music or any other. Nobody from Pakistan should be provided an opportunity to perform in India unless the relations between the two neighbours improve.”
In the past, the 36-year-old Delhi batsman always extended his support for the Indian Army. Last year, he assured to provide educational support to the children of Army men who had lost their lives in Chhattisgarh Maoist attack.
Gambhir is a verbal terrorist
