Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is considered one of the finest batsmen of the modern-day era. He has accomplished great heights in his career in quite less time and is deemed as the most vital aspect of the Pakistan team for the T20 World Cup 2021. He is often associated with calm and cool behavior on the field and doesn’t lose his temperament often.

However, an incident happened during the ongoing National T20 in Pakistan where he could be seen smashing his bat on the pitch. Azam was playing against Northern Pakistan and could be seen struggling against Imad Wasim. During the same course of events, he smashed his bat on the pitch but it wasn’t long before got his usual rhythm back.

He went on to smash a classy ton and gave Pakistan fans a great time watching his batting. Though his ton couldn’t lead his team to a victory, it is a terrific sign for the Pakistan team ahead of T20 World Cup.  The incident happened during the third over of the game while he tried to flick a ball but couldn’t do it properly.

Babar Azam is the leading run-getter in the ongoing Pakistan National T20 Cup

His little aggressive act even led commentators to react. However, soon he silenced his critics and smashed 105* off just 63 deliveries which had 11 fours and three sixes. Azam’s team went on to post 200 runs on the board but couldn’t get the game in their favour as Haider Ali attacked ruthlessly from the opposite end.

Ali’s unbeaten knock of 91 runs off 53 led his team to win the game when a couple of balls were left in the innings. Talking about Azam, he has been marching in a fine form in the ongoing National T20 Cup which will be Pakistan’s roadmap to high-profile T20 World Cup. He is the leading run-getter of the league with 286 runs in just six games, averaging an impressive 71.50.

Azam will be leading his side in the T20 WC and men in green will play their opening clash against India on October 24 in Dubai.
