7 – Bangladesh now have won each of their last seven ODI matches which they played against West Indies. Their last defeat in this format against the Caribbean team came in the 2018 home series. Bangladesh also won each of their last five ODI games and also their last six home ODI matches.
8 – Bangladesh also won each of their last eight matches played in International cricket, a streak that began since Zimbabwe toured Bangladesh in the first quarter of 2020. Bangladesh did also win each of their last ten matches in International cricket they played at home since the T20I Tri-series at home in 2019 against Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.
Mehidy’s best ODI figures:
4/25 – Mehidy Hasan Miraz recorded his best bowling figures in the ODI cricket with 4/25 on Friday. His previous best in this format was 4/29 also coming against West Indies during the 2018 Sylhet ODI.
Mehidy is now the 3rd player from Bangladesh with multiple 4-wicket hauls against West Indies in ODI cricket after Al-Amin Hossain (2) and Shakib Al Hasan (2).
A series of debutants:
2009 – The debut of Kjorn Ottley on Friday extended the tally of debutants in the West Indies team to 7 in this ODI series. The last instance of a full-member team having as many as seven debutants in an ODI series/tournament was Pakistan during the 2008 home ODI series against Zimbabwe.
1978 – The seven debutants in the ongoing ODI series are the 2nd most for West Indies in an ODI series/tournament post their maiden series of the format in 1973. West Indies had a total of 11 debutants during the 1978 home series against Australia.
Mushfiqur @ 400 dismissals:
400 – Mushfiqur Rahim became the first player from Bangladesh with 400 International dismissals as a wicketkeeper. The stumping of Rovman Powell was Rahim’s 400th dismissal as a keeper in International cricket. Rahim is now only the 16th player with 400 dismissals as a keeper across all three formats of international cricket.

3 – Mustafizur Rahman bowled three maidens in this match which are the joint-most by a Bangladesh bowler in the ODI format in the last nine years. Mustafizur bowled three maidens in the 2018 Dhaka ODI against Zimbabwe while Mehidy Hasan Miraz also delivered three maiden overs in the 2018 Providence ODI against West Indies.
